Would recommend picking up your gear asap to take advantage of your whole time slot, and keep in mind you might have to drive a bit (not far, maybe 10-15 minutes, from the S Lamar location) to find a spot to get in.

I went to the the park on a Friday afternoon to check out the rental locker in advance of a day/time that we might want to try it out. I was there for 10 minutes (literally) when someone broke my car window, stole my purse, and went to the nearest Walmart to purchase $500 in gift cards. Since I never would have been at that park if I hadn't seen that there was an "Adventure Crate" located there on the Greenbelt Outdoors website, I think it would be nice to warn people. Look around for cars parked the wrong way in the parking lot (waiting for you to leave) and also check around for broken glass from the window of cars that were recently broken into. Another car parked next to mine was also broken into and that person didn't find out about it until they got back from their day on the river. read less
